Lead U9-U16s Sports Therapist

Job description

The Lead U9-U16s Sports Therapist/Physiotherapist is responsible for leading and delivering the medical provision across the Foundation Phase (FP) and Youth Development Phase (YDP), ensuring players receive high-quality, age-appropriate medical care that supports their health, development and long-term performance. The role encompasses injury prevention, movement and postural screening, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and return-to-play planning, while working collaboratively within the Academy’s multidisciplinary team to optimise player availability.
The postholder will provide timely medical updates, maintain accurate clinical records, monitor injury trends through regular audit processes and contribute to the continual development of medical standards, emergency procedures and departmental education. Working closely with Sport Science and the wider Academy staff, the role will use objective data to inform player management decisions and ensure a seamless medical pathway across all Academy age groups, including supporting the Professional Development Phase.
