Jennifer is an Advanced MSK Clinician and Team Leader at Connect Health and was appointed to the board in December 2023. 

When Jennifer began working at Connect Health in 2022, she broke new ground, becoming the first ever Sports Therapist in the role of Advanced MSK Clinician. Since then, she has been promoted into the role of a Team Leader in the Oxfordshire service, where she enjoys mentoring and supporting her colleagues. 

Since beginning her journey at the University of Hertfordshire in 2013 where she would later graduate with a first-class honours degree in Sports Therapy, Jennifer is distinguished by diverse experiences across competitive sports and healthcare sectors. From working with the University’s Women’s Basketball Team, Hertfordshire Mavericks Netball Super league Team and Bristol City Football Club Academy, to private healthcare clinics and the NHS. 

Jennifer’s passion lies in elevating the discipline of Sports Therapy. She is a vocal advocate for the professional recognition and equality of Sports Therapists, she is a Champion for Sports Therapists across Connect Health. 

A significant part of her mission is to achieve statutory regulation of Sports Therapists by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Director

Nic Perrem is a Graduate Sports Therapist with experience across various clinical environments, including professional and university-level sports and private practice. He has held academic positions at two UK universities, where he contributed to the education and training of future Sports Therapists and other allied health professionals. Currently, Nic applies his expertise within NHS commissioning, bridging clinical knowledge with healthcare management, to optimise service delivery and patient outcomes. His career reflects a commitment to both hands-on patient care and strategic healthcare improvement. Nic is also a member of the Industry Recognition and Pathways Task Team. He is a strong advocate for the profession of Sports Therapy and hopes to use his tenure as a Director to achieve greater recognition of the profession.

Matt Duke

Matt Duke

Matt is a graduate Sports Therapist, who started working for Physiocure in 2012. He has an MSc and BSc from Leeds Beckett University. Matt has worked in professional sport since 2011 in roles including Head of Medical services at Bradford Bulls RLFC, First Team Assistant at Leeds Rhinos RLFC and Soft Tissue Therapist for England Rugby League. Currently, Matt consults with Leeds United FC, Barnsley FC and Hull FC RLFC.
Matt’s interests and specialisms include sports injuries, trauma management, posture correction, prehabilitation and hip rehabilitation. He is currently undergoing a PhD researching a new diagnostic test to identify early hip pathology. He is also a published author in research. Matt has been lecturing at Leeds Beckett University since 2015 teaching on the BSc Sports and Exercise Therapy, MSc Sports Therapy and MSc Sports and Exercises Medicine courses.
Matt is also a pitch side trauma tutor for the Football Association (FA), teaching other medical professionals how to deal with pitch side trauma and emergency medicine scenarios that can occur during a sporting event.

Gita Pathoraja

Gita Pathoraja

Gita Pathiraja graduated in 2009 and has built up a diverse portfolio of experience, drawing from her extensive background in the Premiership Football League, Rugby League, and the Canadian National Football Team. Gita also worked in the NHS, providing post-operative care for neurological and musculoskeletal conditions before moving to Canada in 2018. She moved back to the UK in 2023 and has started GP Sports Clinic, in Warwickshire, which looks to incorporate elite-level rehabilitation and recovery whilst making it accessible to grassroots athletes and teams.

Gita is actively involved in researching injury prevention strategies in youth and adolescent athlete populations and wants to improve sports participation and injury rehabilitation for female athletes.
Gita has joined the IPRTT team and looks forward to pushing for statutory regulation and improving our professional, ethical and standards of practice.

Callum Rae

Callum Rae

Callum started his studies with an HND from City of Glasgow college before graduating from Teesside University in 2016.  Initially combining his private practice work with work in football with Patrick Thistle and St Mirren, he then moved into full time private practice.
Last year, Callum completed his level 4 in S&C. Since then, a part of his clinical  caseload has been working with althetes to help improve performance and reduce injury risk.
Callum has now moved into a Team Leader position at NK Physiotherapy where he mixes a busy caseload with a host of managerial duties.

Kevin Campbell-Karn

Kevin Campbell-Karn

Dr Kevin Campbell-Karn is an Associate Professor and Deputy Head of School at Buckinghamshire New University, where he has been a pivotal figure since 2015 achieving successive 100% NSS overall outcomes for Sports Therapy. With a PhD in Sports Science from Brunel University, his research focuses on the clinical assessment of patellofemoral alignment, exercise rehabilitation to assist with ADHD, and technology enhanced recovery for hip and knee replacement surgery. Dr Campbell-Karn is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has been a dedicated member of The Society of Sports Therapists since graduating in 2002.

Dr Campbell-Karn played a crucial role in modernizing The Society of Sports Therapists, serving on the Board of Directors from 2017-2022 culminating in becoming Chairman. He led initiatives to enhance governance, regulation, inclusivity, and member engagement while being a crucial board member for the return to practice guidelines during Covid-19. Dr Campbell-Karn’s experience will now join others within the IRPTT group as The Society drives towards higher standards and achievements.

Becky Nattress

Began my career at the University of Worcester graduating in 2014, currently working as Senior Team Therapist for Bristol Bears Rugby club in the Gallagher premiership for the last 5 years.  Prior to this i spent a large portion of my early career in private practice and working with a multitude of other sports team across Bristol.
Passionate about raising the profile of sports therapists in professional sport and working towards statutory regulation.

Pippa Inwood

Pippa Inwood

Having gained her Sports Therapy Degree from Coventry University in 2015. Pippa went straight into the work environment securing her first clinical position with Swan Physio Ltd which included working in the medical team for Stoke City Ladies and Girls RTC. In 2018, Pippa relocated to Berkshire continuing work in clinical practice before securing a full-time role in an Academy setting with Reading Football club as an Academy Therapist before being promoted to the Lead Therapist of the U9-U16s.  Pippa has recently completed her master’s degree in Football Science & Rehabilitation to develop her professional competencies in sports.
Pippa continues her passion for promoting Sports Therapy in the elite football environment and hopes to be a voice for the SST community in opening more doors for the wider sporting industry.

Alex Meredith

Alex Meredith

Alex began his career in Sports Therapy with a prestigious internship at AFC Bournemouth after graduating from the University of Gloucestershire in 2016. He then spent several years honing his expertise within academy football while simultaneously earning a Master’s in Sports Medicine from University College London (UCL). Currently, Alex applies his advanced clinical skills to the Ministry of Defence, where he focuses on the complex rehabilitation of injured serving personnel
